At MTEC we provide a number of key services in regard to the compliance, design, monitoring and implementation of surface water management systems. As a Scottish based company, we have an in-depth local understanding of the regional water quality challenges and regulatory landscape.

Design, Planning & Testing Services

• Conceptual Design - We can provide initial design’s for a conceptual surface water management system which will allow costs to be captured at project bid / tender stage.
• Planning Submissions - Increasingly as a business we have been providing designs as part of the planning application to satisfy the needs of national planning framework 4 (NPF4).
• Prestart Baseline Testing - Essential testing of the water environment upstream and downstream of the proposed discharge points sets the baseline compliance parameters to inform statutory body applications. This coupled with soil testing for settlement durations will inform settlement lagoon sizing or the need for biochemical flocculation.
• Surface Water Management Drawings - Based on the earthworks strategy / sequence of works, the surface water management drawings and designs are created. As the project progresses, these plans are adapted and form the surface water management journey through each project. We work hand in hand with both the client, groundwork / installer to ensure compliant with the design and best working practices.
